Our school has been successfully training trainee teachers for many years. The trainee teachers have a wide range of training occupations and school types at their disposal. They receive professional support from motivated and qualified trainee teachers who are always on hand to advise them. Modern training methods and teaching materials support modern and successful training.

At the beginning of their training, trainee teachers receive an information booklet that provides them with a wealth of information to guide them through their day-to-day work.

On February 1, 2016, the revised teacher training and examination regulations for the preparatory service for teachers (APVO) came into force.
Our training concept is based on both the school's curriculum and the IQSH training standards.
The prospective teachers should be enabled to support pupils of different abilities and talents as well as different social and cultural backgrounds in a climate of mutual appreciation and thus lead them to academic and professional success. Here you can find the current training concept (PDF).

The state of Schleswig-Holstein offers graduates of universities and equivalent institutions of higher education who have completed a degree course (Diplom/Magister/Master) in an urgently needed teaching subject or in an urgently needed subject area as well as graduates of universities of applied sciences with a Master's degree the opportunity to enter the teaching profession with a lateral entry.

The entire selection and recruitment process is handled by the Ministry of Education, Science and Culture of Schleswig-Holstein.

At our school, we are very interested in lateral entrants who can provide evidence of a subject from the artistic-creative field or a school subject (e.g. German, Mathematics, Biology, Wipo etc.) in addition to the subject of social pedagogy.
