Pauliskolan on the Königsweg
After students from our vocational high school were able to get to know our partner school in Malmö in March of this year, the first return visit of the Pauliskolan took place in Kiel. Eight students from a German course were welcomed by our European team at the train station on Sunday, December 3, together with their teachers Elena and Rita, and were the first to get to know our snow-covered Christmas market and Kilian the elf in his gondola.
As part of Erasmus+, they then spent three mornings working on a project on the topic of sustainability, with experts from BündnisEineWelt offering workshops on various topics. The Swedes also took part in various BG lessons such as English, German and pedagogy. In order to get to know Kiel, a city rally was held in mixed groups one afternoon, during which selfies of the small groups were taken at prominent points around the fjord as proof of their achievement.
These selfies were admired on the following day's games evening and sometimes caused great amusement. Tricky puzzles were the order of the day in the escape room on Wednesday evening. With the support of Maren (thank you at this point), the students were able to improve their cooking skills with homemade burgers. Unfortunately, our guests had to spontaneously leave Kiel for Malmö a day earlier than planned due to the strike on Friday. Everyone involved was really sad about this, as they all had an eventful and harmonious time together. The Europe team is looking forward to taking a group of students to Malmö again at the end of January. The BG and a group of SPA students will take part, accompanied by Swedish buddies who will gain an insight into Swedish daycare practice.
