Award ceremony of Low Emission Schools Schleswig-Holstein 2024
We were there! On 16.09.2024, a delegation of learners from our project week in June on designing a more sustainable RBZ am Königsweg was invited to the Low Emission Schools SH 2024 award ceremony. Six students, two teachers and the school management met at the Christian-Albrechts-University. In a geography lecture hall, the importance of sustainability was first discussed from various perspectives as well as an appreciation of the learners' commitment before the various and exciting projects from different schools were presented. The patron of the project, politician Karin Prien, as well as other supporting organizations awarded the prizes. The ideas of the learners were supported with a total of 15,000 euros in prize money so that the projects can be implemented. Our learners at the RBZ am Königsweg received prize money of 1000 euros for co-designing a canteen as well as a school service station for bicycles.
We would like to thank the Institut für vernetztes Denken Bredenbeek (institute for joined-up thinking), the Sparkasse der CAU (savings bank of Kiel university) and the supporting students and hope to be able to establish further sustainable ideas at our school.
